General Fund Donation Options:

This fund was created by the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2011 as a field of interest fund to receive donations from different charitable areas on the LINCC website.

Each year The Change Fund provides a new class of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO)Community Leaders program the opportunity to leverage their collective fundraising abilities and support a nonprofit in North Louisiana. The intent of the program is to help potential leaders better understand their role and support of fundraising as a nonprofit board member. Members of the class are asked to donate $150 and raise a minimum of $150 for a nonprofit program in the community. 

Last year, LANO Community Leaders class chose The Backpack Program of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. The 2012 class raised $13,000. Over the years, the Change Fund has given away more than $60,000 to local nonprofit organizations.

This fund was established to honor Bossier City Mayor George Dement. Grants from this fund will be used to benefit charities in Bossier.

This fund provides grants to local nonprofits like Goodwill Industries, Providence House and others who serve those affected by natural and manmade disasters. Through this fund we have provided shelter, food and clothing for evacuees from Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike and Gustave.

The fund was created by the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2008. This fund provided a grant for the RAND Corporation to conduct research on best practices in the field of education.

This fund provided grants to local nonprofits that need assistance to avert a crisis in our community. Through this fund, we have made grants to LSU Health Science Center to inoculate local school children against H1N1 virus. We have provided funds to provide continuity of operations to the Shreveport Regional Arts Council after a tragic fire in late 2009.

The Young Professionals Initiative (YPI) serves as a network of community leaders under the age of 40 that enhances the development of northwest Louisiana for attraction and retention of young professionals. As part of this effort, the YPI launched the YPI Fund, an endowed, donor advised fund at The Community Foundation in 2011 to facilitate the philanthropic vision of the organization and its members. To learn more about becoming a member of the YPI, visit the Young Professionals Initiative (YPI) website.
