Transforming community through philanthropy.

The Change Fund

Each year The Change Fund provides a new class of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) Community Leaders program the opportunity to leverage their collective fundraising abilities and support a nonprofit in North Louisiana. The intent of the program is to help potential leaders better understand their role and support of fundraising as a nonprofit board member. Members of the class are asked to donate $200 and raise a minimum of $200 for a nonprofit program in the community.

Over the years, the Change Fund has given away more than $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations. This year's class has chosen to send members of Fair Park Middle School's Tribal Court program to Washington DC to attend Close Up, a week-long Civic Education program. Tribal Court is a program of Volunteers for Youth Justice.
