Gustavson to continue philanthropic leadership in North Louisiana
The board of directors at The Community Foundation of North Louisiana announced Kristina B. Gustavson as its new executive director, starting January 2018. Gustavson replaces Paula Hickman, who led The Foundation for nearly 15 years.
“On behalf of the board of directors, I am thrilled to welcome Kristi to The Community Foundation,” said Tom Murphy current board chairman. “We look forward to her leadership which we believe will bring The Foundation to even higher levels of achievement in developing philanthropy within our community.”
Gustavson is a former Vice President and Trust Advisor at Regions Bank. Through her work there she developed and retained trust and investment management clients as well as administered estates. Prior to her work at Regions, Gustavson was a senior associate at Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway. She practiced commercial litigation, contract issues and bankruptcy. She has trial experience in State District Court, United States District Court, United States Bankruptcy Court, Louisiana State appellate courts and city courts.
She is a graduate of Tulane University School of Law, cum laude; and Rhodes College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in French.

It’s truly an honor,” Gustavson said. “The Community Foundation has been a trusted partner here since 1961, and I look forward to leading the team to support philanthropic impact in the community I love.”
Gustavson is a passionate community member who is ready to lead and be the next long-term leader of The Community Foundation. Gustavson will work side-by-side with Hickman the remainder of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
