Emotional Wellness: Lighting the Pathway to Success

Following the Resilience screening and community conversations on the effects of childhood trauma, we invited Dr. Stacia’ Alexander from Dallas to discuss how her mental health clinic at Paul Quinn College has assisted in raising the college’s retention rate from 38 to 71 percent. With over 20 years’ experience as a licensed professional counselor, Dr. Alexander will speak about breaking the link between mental health and poverty by preparing students for adulthood through mental healthcare.

Join us early at 4:00 for a tour of the Noel Collection, a collection of 250,000 volumes that are on permanent loan to LSUS.
Parking is available on the north side of Noel Memorial Library. The event room is located on the 3rd floor and elevators are available.
