Each year, Community Foundation of North Louisiana opens its competitive grant process to all Caddo and Bossier Parish nonprofits. After months of the application and review process, all grant recipients will be announced at the Foundation’s annual meeting on April 30th, 4:00 PM, at the Sci-Port Discovery Center.
The Community Foundation is excited to award $2,813,952 this year to community programs. The 59 projects receiving funding serve various areas of need, such as education, human services, arts and culture, economic development, health, and environment. The Foundation uses its annual data report, Community Counts, to identify which areas of the community have the greatest need for services.
If you are interested in learning more about the Community Foundation or the work of nonprofits in North Louisiana, the annual meeting is free and family-friendly. There will be a science magic show featuring Dr. Wayne Gustavson, a special science activity for children with the Sci-Port staff, the presentation of all grant recipients, and free time for families in Sci-Port following the presentation. All attendees will also be able to place their name into a drawing for a $500 prize to be awarded to their charity of choice during Give For Good.
